We’ve recently received the most welcome news that our application to become an Approved Training Institution (ATI) with the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) has been granted. We underwent a rigorous application and assessment process taking almost one year from start to finish. As a result we’ve improved our quality assurance processes and have come out the other side a better organisation.
As an ATI, we are now delivering First Aid Response training nationwide. This is the course set out by the Health and Safety Authority as required by all workplace first aiders. It replaces the QQI Occupational First Aid course, however it is not massively dissimilar, taking 3 days including some brief learner examinations for successful certification.
It is also the first aid course required by TUSLA. Every childcare centre must have at least one person qualified in First Aid Response on their premises during opening hours. The course content covers all first aid scenarios, at all age levels including adult, child and infant.
