County Childcare Committees have had funding available for almost a year to supplement the cost of First Aid Response (FAR) training. The grant is available to all Registered Childcare Service Providers. Yet only a fraction of providers have actually made an application to draw down the fund. Most importantly, the fund closes for applications on the 13th March. Correct and right, that’s Friday 13th 🙁
Closing date Friday 13th March. Get it done!
It makes no sense to let this opportunity drift away as TUSLA are set to begin enforcement of this regulatory requirement in June this year. It sets out that there must be a First Aid Response trained staff member available immediately to children at all times. All county childcare committee’s have an application form available on their website – or just click on the link below as the form is the same for all counties.
For service providers with multiple registered sites you can make a grant application for each site. To supplement your application you’ll need to add a copy of the invoice/receipt for the course plus a copy of the First Aid Response certificate achieved. HealthCo has already facilitated the speedy application for several childcare providers here in the Northeast. As a PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council) Approved Training Institute our quality process ensures you receive your certificate within 5 days upon successful completion of the course.
We have a schedule of public FAR courses upcoming in Creative Spark Dundalk (details below). Or if you have more than 5 staff to train, we can come to your premises improving value per person trained.
